Tourism can be a blessing and a curse. It can provide valuable revenues for communities and countries but unless managed sustainably and carefully, it can destroy environments and cultures.

Long term planning is essential, with all the component parts of the tourist development strategy being considered as an integrated whole.  This requires experience and time and must embrace the needs of all stakeholders.

Here are some examples of projects in emerging tourism destination countries which were successfully implemented.

Roman city of Jerash, Jordan
The Treasury Building, Petra, Jordan.
The Silver Souk, Niswa, Oman
Camping at Jebel Shams, Oman
The Empty Quarter, Oman
Scuba diving, Churna, Pakistan
Dewara Fort, Cholistan, Pakistan
