COMMITTEES

 

While some clubs are autocratically run by an elected Chairman, often without relevant experience, these tend to be few and are usually the poorer for it. Adopting a professional management team, directed by an elected or appointed Committee or Board, is usually the most effective arrangement. Depending on the size of the Club, further sub-Committees can then support this main Committee, but care should be taken not to over manage the professionals engaged to run the Club.
